Jing Method™ Massage Therapy in Brighton

Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage with Jemma Jackson – Monday evenings

Brighton life can be full-on – long hours, full calendars, the constant buzz of energy that never quite lets your body rest. My Jing Method™ Massage sessions offer space to slow down and reset while addressing pain and movement challenges in an evidence-based, collaborative way.

I work from Brighton & Hove Therapies, just a short walk from Brighton Station, providing an inclusive, body-positive environment where everyone is welcome.

Appointments are available on Monday evenings – ideal for unwinding after work or starting the week with intention.

Evidence-based massage with heart

I’m Jemma Jackson, a Jing Method™ teacher and advanced clinical massage therapist. I’ve spent years working with people living with pain, fatigue, or physical change – helping them reconnect with their bodies and find practical ways to move with more ease.

I teach this approach at the Jing Institute here in Brighton (Bond St), where it's been redefining how massage therapy is taught and practised for over two decades.

Jing Method™ Massage isn’t a routine or a “quick fix”. It’s a flexible framework that combines hands-on techniques, movement, and pain-science education to support long-term change. We’ll work together to understand what your body needs and how to help it recover strength, balance, and confidence.

Sessions are suitable for persistent pain, pregnancy from conception to the fourth trimester, and anyone adjusting to life or body changes.

“Jemma is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled and managed to get to the root on my knee pain and treat the cause of my pain, rather than the symptoms. Giving me a good dose of education and letting me know what is causing my pain and how to manage it and prevent it from raising its ugly head again. Can not recommend highly enough.”

Who I work with

Many of my Brighton clients spend long hours at desks, on their feet, or in creative roles that demand focus but take a toll on the body. Others are managing persistent/chronic pain, fatigue, hypermobility, or hormonal shifts, or are in pregnancy or postnatal stages.

I also work with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients who appreciate a calm, sensory-aware space where they can show up exactly as they are.

If your body feels tense, tired, or simply not your own, this work can help you reconnect and move with more comfort and confidence.

What to expect

Your first session is longer, giving us time for a thorough consultation, assessment, and any special testing if needed. This is where we set out your treatment goals and record our baseline measures - things like pain levels, range of movement, sleep, energy, or anxiety.

Each follow-up begins with a check-in and reassessment, then hands-on work that may include deep-tissue and myofascial techniques, trigger-point therapy, or assisted stretching – woven together with movement, mindfulness or strength-based rehab where it helps. Every session is part of an outcome-based treatment plan, not a one-off.

Programmes and Pricing

I work in programmes and memberships rather than single sessions (from £290), because for persistent or complex pain, what you do consistently over time matters far more than any one treatment.

All programmes, memberships, prices and FAQs are on the Programmes & Pricing page.

“Jemma is an incredible massage therapist. I have rheumatoid arthritis and her treatments help calm my system down and I always feel amazing afterwards. She really knows her stuff and gives great self care suggestions. If you suffer with any kind of chronic pain I can't recommend her enough”
