A Morning of Movement and Sound
Every Expression Dance is a guided, free-form movement experience supported by rhythm, music, and live sound healing by Michelle Crozier.
This is not a class and not a performance. There is no choreography to follow. Instead, it’s a carefully held space where you’re invited to move, rest, or be still in ways that feel authentic to you.
What will happen
The morning is held as a gentle flow rather than a rigid structure:
A short opening circle to explain the session and support everyone to arrive safely and comfortably
Kriya drumming to bring rhythm, energy, and focus into the body
Every Expression Dance, guided through music and live drumming
Live sound with Michelle Crozier, to lie down, rest, and integrate the experience
You are always welcome to move in your own way, take breaks, sit, or be still.
Pricing
Early bird (before 8th February): £30
Standard ticket: £40
Tickets are non-refundable.
If you can no longer attend, you’re welcome to pass your ticket on to someone else. Please let us know their name and contact details.
Every Expression Dance
Every Expression Dance is a free-form movement journey guided by Cloe Jackson, Creative Counsellor (BACP), yoga teacher, and dance facilitator.
The dance is guided, but there is no choreography and no expectation to move in any particular way. You’ll be invited to explore different rhythms and qualities of movement, from grounded and nurturing, to expansive and energising, from playful and expressive, to quiet and still.
Cloe’s approach brings together therapeutic understanding, somatic awareness, and creative movement. The focus is on safety, choice, and listening to the body, rather than pushing, performing, or releasing for the sake of it.
This work takes the whole person into account, including lived experience and nervous system capacity. The intention is not catharsis, but integration, regulation, and embodied presence.
People come for many different reasons. Some to feel more connected to themselves. Some to explore creativity without pressure. Some to feel what they feel and allow that to be enough. Some simply to spend a few hours in their body, rather than their head.
Live sound healing
This session includes live sound healing with Michelle Crozier.
Michelle will weave live sound throughout the morning, culminating in a layered sound journey at the end of the session. This offers time to lie down, rest, and integrate the experience through sound.
The sound healing draws on voice and a range of instruments, including singing bowls, kalimba, drumming, and mantra. It provides a gentle close to the movement experience, supporting rest, reflection, and nervous system settling.
Is this for me?
Do I need dance experience?
No. There is no choreography and no expectation to “know how to dance”. You’re invited to move in whatever way feels right for you.
What if I feel self-conscious or unsure?
That’s very common. The space is held with care and without judgement. You’re welcome to move gently, take breaks, or be still at any point.
Can I sit or lie down instead of dancing?
Yes. Choice and flexibility are central to how this space is held.
Is this therapy?
This is not a therapy session, but it is held with therapeutic awareness. The focus is on safety, embodiment, and self-expression rather than performance or emotional pushing.
Is the venue accessible?
The Jing Institute is located above street-level shops and is accessed via a set of fairly steep stairs. There is a handrail.
Unfortunately, the venue is not wheelchair accessible.
If you have access, mobility, sensory, or other needs and would like to talk through whether this space will work for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch in advance.
Ear defenders are welcome, and quieter space options are available within the venue.
What to wear
Please wear anything you feel comfortable moving freely in.
Bare feet are welcome, as are soft-soled indoor shoes.
Every Expression Welcome
We’d love to welcome you into the space and share the morning together. Come as you are, move or rest as you need, and let the experience unfold in its own time.
